is an advertising calendar from the Union Pacific Railroad for the year of 1942. What struck me about the calendar, was the front page were it proudly proclaimed, The Railroad Lincoln Planned For National Defense----was then, is now The Strategic Middle Route. These calenders are planned months in advance, but the railroad and the public were all well aware of what was happening in Europe. Still, ironic, all things considered. December of 1941 is on the bottom of the front page. When you flip that over, you have January and on the backside of the front page is what is in photo #4 and a brief description of each months subject/photo. Condition is good, the front page bears all the tears and scuff marks. The other months/pages are in very nice condition, strong colors, etc. T are 6 more pages, with a month on each side. Scenes are from along the railroad and include farming, forests, the Grand Canyon, agriclture, mining and the inside of a passener car. Size is 12 by 23 1/2 inches. A nice older Union Pacific collectable. I do not use the Ebay checkout system. I will email the winner with totals within 24 hours of the end of the auction. Buyer to pay shipping. Insurance is your option for the added cost. I am not responsible for broken or lost items not insured. Please allow time for personal check to clear or send a Money Order for quick shipping.
