LARGE 1943 ALFRED PHILIPPE TRIFARI STERLING JELLY BELLY PIN This listing is for one Crown Trifari pin / brooch from the 1940's. It was designed and patented by Alfred Philippe for Trifari on March 2. 1943. It can be found on page 119 of "20th Century Costume Jewelry" by A. Gordon and also "American Costume Jewelry" by Brunialti. This sparkly sterling silver vermeil pin is marked with the crown trifari mark on on leg, sterling on another and "Des.pat no. 135170" above the tail for the design patent number. There is a safety style clasp in good working order with a nice straight pin. It is a nice large size and measures 2 1/8 " in by 1 7/16". There is some slight wear to the gold wash and a little bit of tarnish. A few of the stones have a yellowish tinge and the lucite has some ultra fine scratches , all of which are age appropriate and do not detract from the piece ( I only mention it to be painstakingly thorough). Otherwise it is in good condition with NO missing stones and best of all it comes with FREE SHIPPING! Be sure to add me to your favorites list !
