Army Vet who served in the European campaign from 1941 through 1945 brought back several wonderful captured German items from battles in Europe. The GI carefully preserved his relics and kept them that way until he passed away recently. See my other auctions for more from this collection. Many items could not be offered on Ebay due to restrictions and prohibitions on German war items. If interested please email me and I will provide descriptions and pictures. Wehrmacht Canteen Beautiful 1943 canteen used by medics during WW II. The cap distinguishes this specimen from the typical enlisted canteen. Enlisted canteens had larger metal cups. The medic or Red Cross canteen has an oval bakelite cup. These Red Cross canteens are much rarer than enlisted canteens used throughout the war. Cup is marked with RZM logo with "GFC" and "1943" below that. No cracks or chips in the cup. Minor wear noticed but overall crisp and clean. Woolen cover is in remarkable condition for age.
