you have the venerable M1 Garand Rifle 10 Pocket Ammo Belt worn by GI Infantrymen in Europe and the Pacific in about near mint condition. It is ostensibly one of the finest I have ever offered. The 1943, maker-marked M1 Garand Rifle 10 Pocket Ammo Pouch has the coveted pocket dividers. Froehlich Co. made the ammo belt. Froehlich is a noted manufacturer of WWII GI web field gear. The ammo belt may not have been issued as t are no GI ID codes present. The M1 Garand Rifle Ammo Belt is in green OD web canvas. This venerable Infantryman's Rifle Ammo Belt comes with the highly desired pocket dividers. The belt is made of three pieces that includes two five-pocket ammo sections and one connecting belt. It is adjustable and should fit up to a 46-inch waist. The Garand Rifle was standard issue to GI, Paratrooper and Marine infantrymen. The ammo belt would accommodate 10 loaded, 8-round clips. The flaps have dot snap fasteners as do the pocket dividers. All of the snaps on the flaps work. Please be careful when snapping the pockets as the belt is sixty-four years old. All grommets are present. The buckles are non-magnetic. T are no stains, soiling, tears or dry rot. The metal components retain most all the black paint.
