1943-S Lincoln Cent Mint Error. PCGS graded VF-30 Struck on Silver 10C Flan. PCGS #21445180. Important mint error struck in silver. Struck on a silver planchet intended for dime coinage, it seems that this cent evaded quality control due to its similarity in appearance to the zinc-steel cents of 1943. This specimen is an attractively toned and appealing one, well-struck and free from injury. While 1943 copper cents bask in the limelight of fame, 1943 silver cents are extremely popular with error collectors as well, and few are luckily within the affordable price range of this piece. The same owner also consigned in this sale the Famous 1943 Copper Cent (PCGS # 2717).
