This offering is for a vintage authentic WW2 Japanese Map of New Zealand. Map was printed in 1943 and all printed data on the map is in Japanese. This map is printed on a rice like paper unlike the clay based slick paper usually associated with maps. The item measures 20 1/2 by 30 inches unfolded and about 7 1/2 by 11 inches folded. (folded 3 times) I have provided a picture of the opened map as well as a picture of the sleeve in which the map has been stored. The map itself is in pristine condition except for expected light toning/yellowing. The sleeve is a bit tattered as you can see. Obviously it has done a good job of protecting the map over the years. I would venture to say that the map has never been opened prior to my doing so. No rips, tears, spots, holes or damage of any kind other than what I have mentioned. These vintage maps look absolutely super matted and framed. And this one is in a near perfect state of preservation. Colors are bright and fresh looking. A really smart looking piece to compliment your office wall or enhance your WW2 collection. As the years go bye, vintage historical maps like this are getting very difficult to find in any condition.
