Up for auction is a nice 1943 Boyt manufactured shoulder holster. Leather is soft and pliable. All snaps are present. Buckle is in great condtion. On the back piece of leather, t are two slits on each side of the strap which serves to hold the pistol in. The slits are more difficult to see from the front. Other than the two slits, this holster is in great condition and displays very well. An expert in the field of WWII items, indicated to me that the slits may have been made in order to have a military hold the holster in place. Your guess and thoughts are as good as mine! All Sales Are Final!!! Please look this item over carefully before bidding. I will try to answer any question that you might have. I will post positive feedback only after the winning bidder has done the same. Questions are welcome. Payment is due within 10 days of close of auction! Thanks for looking! I do have other military items up for auction. Inadvertently left out part the the description: Last sentence should have read: "An expert in the field of WWII items, indicated to me that the slits or cuts may have been made in order to have a military belt hold the holster in place at the soldiers side."
