1944 genealogy NICHOLS FAMILY Searsport Maine NICKELS1944 hardcover first edition book (as opposed to a bunch of Xeroxed pages held together with a plastic spiral binding, which describes the new print-on-demand option… I hate to think how the photo illustrations translate in that version…) of JAMES NICHOLS (NICKELS) OF SEARSPORT AND HIS DESCENDANTS, 1733-1943, compiled by Charles J. Nichols. A work of genealogy, obviously, and signed and inscribed by the author on the half-title page. The author, by the way, was the vice president of the Maine Historical Society. Traces seven generations of Nichols’ family lines, from James Nichols.
