you have another D-Day Normandy Two Franc Invasion Script Note dated 1944. Paratroopers and GIs carried the Invasion Script. It has a serial number and the writing is in French. The reverse features the French Flag. The note was kept as a souvenir and is in about near mint condition. Incredibly it was folded only once and apparently shipped home as a souvenir. The script is very finely detailed and the colors are vibrant. It came from the estate of a GI CID agent who served with the Third Division in Italy and Germany. I have included a photo from page 254 of GI, Government Issue, A Collector's Guide to the European Theatre. Paper items such as Military Currency and Occupation Script are tough to find, as these small paper items had to survive sixty-three years. It is a must have to complete your European Theatre WWII collection. First Class Postage in a padded bag with delivery tracking slip would be fine in lieu of my standard US Postal Service Priority Mail. This WWII D-Day Normandy 2 Franc Note for the Liberation of France would make a wonderful addition, upgrade and/or completion to a WWII GI or Paratrooper European Theatre collection.
