1944-D Walking Liberty Half Dollar Graded By One Of The Best of The Top Two Graders PCGS MS-65 "Old Green Holder" GemThis is an antique. A really nice example from the early days at PCGS. At a time when most believe, that the majority of the graders there were super strict. This year from Denver I've been told is notorious for having been softly struck. And this coin is somewhat softly struck. But having said that, it does have left hand thumb separation and strong mark free skirt lines on all five sets, including the center set. Miss Liberty's head is a bit soft, but still looks very good. The reverse feather detail is quite distinct, even with the somewhat soft strike. Even on the eagles left leg in the front. I own a MS-66 in this same year/mint coin. It too is in a PCGS slab. Not an OGH, but slabbed by maybe the most strict when it comes to a numerical grade on a coin, and it look absolutely no nicer than this MS-65. In fact I thought about keeping this 65 just because it looked as good as my MS-66 and it was in an old green holder by PCGS, but I have made the decision to sell off just about 100% of my duplicates in the Walker series to finish my short read more
