Published by authority of the Chief of the Bureau of Aeronautics, 1 April 1944. Printed heavy card covers with shoelace-style tie, 11" x 8-1/2", 53 pages, illustrated in black and white. In very fine, clean condition."This publication shall not be carried in aircraft on combat missions or when there is a reasonable chance of its falling into the hands of the enemy." Includes detailed illustrated instructions on such topics as airplane access, pedal adjustment, personnel protection against gunfire, wing flap operation, instrument panels, wing folding procedure, propeller operation check, diving check list, stopping the engine, cockpit emergency exit, oxygen system, power plant operation chart, and more.A general description from the publication: "This airplane is a single engine, single place, folding mid-wing monoplane carrier fighter. The Wright R-1820-56 engine powering the plane is a nine-cylinder radial with an integral two-speed, single stage supercharger.
