This is an original Indianapolis Times newspaper from August 14, 1945, the headline reads Peace - Japs Surrender . What makes this newspaper even more interesting is another front page story, Crusier Indianapolis Lost; 1196 Casualties It goes on to say "The Navy tonight announced loss of the heavy cruiser Indianapolis with 1196 casualties - every man aboard the ship."
This newspaper with it's 12 pages I believe is complete and is filled with lots of other stories and photos of the war and Japanese surrender. T are several local interest stories and photos along with the Stock Market report, Editorials and Comics. It's condition is quite good for it's age, yellowed but not terribly brittle, the pages can be turned without too much concern for damage if done carefully. T are no major tears or stains. US buyers have the option of USPS 1st Class Mail or Priority Mail with no handling charges or fees and insurance is included, International buyers can expect actual cost for International 1st Class Mail.
