Up for auction is a one of a kind and original 1945 Russell Patterson Artist Drawing of his one celled comic strip, "Pin-Up Girls" Cell Dimensions are 8" x 10 3/4". With the frame, the picture is 13 1/4" x 16". Drawing has no tears or repairs, but is starting to yellow from age and probably could use an acid free matting. Writing on bottom reads: "What wine would you suggest t(o) serve with leftovers?" A true gem indeed! The Cell has a personal note under the cell that Reads "To Frank- Love Ruth and Russell" Ruth was Russell's Wife! Over the next couple of days, I will be putting up an all-original Russell Patterson Collection. The owner of this collection was personal friends of Mr. Patterson. He would receive original artwork on special occasions as a gift from Patterson himself. The collection will consist of comic cells and framed informal art.
