**NO RESERVE** The Esterbrooks from this era have become very collectable, possibly because of the many wonderful colors from this series. I can think of more then ten defferent colors. They also manufactured this series in five diferent sizes. The pasels have always been a little harder to find then the pearl plastic. Another is the white set for the medical profession that included a thermometer case that looked like a fountain pen. Esterbrooks were always considered very good writers, well made and available at an afordable price. When I was a kid we all had at least one. Another smart move by Esterbrook was that they had twenty eight different nibs (they called them "RENEW-POINTS) from which to choose and they could be changed at any time by the consumer. I have listed other Esterbrooks and new "RENEW-POINTS". This is a beautiful example of one of the pastels which were favored by women and girls (my sister had a pink one). Good color and all the chrome looks great. This pen measures almost 4 7/16" with the cap on and 5 5/16" posted. The nib is No. 1555 which Esterbrook says was for secretaries and shorthand. I have done nothing to this pen as it fills writes and empties as it should. The imprint on the barrel is still easily read, however it does show some wear. The pen could use a little cleaning around the threads (see photos) read more
