Up for grabs is an elusive 4th of JULY 1946 Isabel II Two Dollar (2D) Gold Coin - RARE - Very Seldom seen here for auction. NO RESERVE AND GUARANTEED AUTHENTIC Light circulation wear. Few contact marks are evident on high points due to exposure to normal circulation. With nice details showing Queen Isabel's hair. My opinion grading is : Very Fine (VF) but please examine carefully the pictures. I might have over-classified it, considering it’s from my personal collection. COIN BACKGROUND Spanish colonial. In an effort to resolve the monetary crisis plaguing the country, a mint called Casa de Moneda de Manila was established by royal decree and was inaugurated on March 19, 1861. Gold coins of 0.875 fineness were eventually issued dated 1861 through 1868 in denominations of 4 pesos, 2 pesos and 1 peso, and dated 1882 and 1885 in 4-peso denomination, all bearing the name "FILIPINAS" on the reverse (source at internet: Philippine Philatelist) But this coin was made in Commemoration of the Philippine American Friendship day.
