This auction is for an early all original 1946 nickel silver Zippo lighter. I have provided a full complement of photos to show condition and help the viewer evaluate this lighter. Overall, I judge it to be in excellent condition. The case has nickel surfaces that have never been chrome plated. I have not done anything to clean this lighter, a task I will leave to the discretion of the winner. It has a three barrel hinge that has just a slight bit of wobble. Notice the center barrel of the hinge is wider than the outside barrels. Also, the flint wheel has horizontal striations. You can see that the windscreen on the insert needs to be straightened a little, an easy task I leave to the winner. There are a few dings in the case that may be seen in my photos. You can see in the last photo that the case of this 1946 is a little taller than a regular Zippo shown for comparison. The flint tube of the 14 hole insert is clear and unobstructed. Overall, this is a desirable example of an all original early 1946 Zippo that I believe the winner will be very happy with.For buyer with a US domestic address, Priority Mail ($6.80).
