GO to top of this page, press wheel, and gently pull your mouse towards you... Up for your consideration is this c.1946 VINTAGE MARATHON BAIT CO. MOUSE METAL SPOON LURE. This was identified using Karl White's book. The lure is pictured on page 58 in Karl White's book Vol. II. MARKINGS: The lure is marked: Marathon. No other markings were found. The exact age is unknown but believed to be from the 1946 era as stated in White's book. CONDITION: Measures aprox. 2-1/2". This is in very nice vintage condition with most of the red and white paint intact although aged. Some small paint flaking nicking is seen along all edges and near the line. The belly side has a speck of tarnish and light soiling. The hooks are fairly clean indicating minimal use over the lifetime of the lure. This is a very nice piece of Marathon Bait Co. history!
