Jacobs Company - 1947-48 small size Five Cent Coca-Cola Coke vending machine.

One of the first vending machines made by the Jacobs Company, the J-26 was featured as "coming soon" in trade publication advertising of July, 1947. Its dimensions are 19" wide x 26" deep x 54" high. It weighs about 235 pounds. One side of the machine serves as the loading door and opening it reveals a light weight aluminum drum holding 26 bottles in nine pie-shaped compartments with enough room to chill 41 more bottles. One crank of the handle dispenses a bottle through a chute on the skinny side. I had bought this with intentions of restoring it but I have too many other projects going on so I am offering it to the highest bidder.

Needs to be restored - has surface rust only, both side doors have dents - see photos. Machine is complete including new bottle cap catcher and all new decals ready to be put on once restoration is complete.

The came from an old school house in Bowling Green, Ohio. The cord was cut off when I bought it so I have no idea if it works ... my guess is that it does not so please buy it with that assumption. This is being sole "AS IS".
