Rare 1947 Postwar Lionel 1214 Stock-Watch DC Fence Controller, Mint/OB

This auction is for an extremely rare and highly collectable Postwar Lionel 1214 Stock- Watch DC Fence Controller in Factory New (C9) Unused condition with original box and mounting bracket. Manufactured in 1947, this short lived Lionel farm equipment product was quite innovative for its day. It was used to electrify the fencing around livestock enclosures and featured a jeweler-quality timing mechanism to pace the volts of electricity through the circuit, a high voltage generator which operated on a 6 volt dry cell battery, and a sealed cabinet that protects its components from extreme temperatures and moisture.

This piece has never been used and is complete and undamaged. The 20" x 9" gray crackle-finish metal cabinet is complete and undamaged; no rust, scratches, dents or repairs. Comes with its original mounting bracket and empty parts envelope. The 1214-138 original box grades Very Good (C6); shows signs of moisture and storage wear but nothing repaired or re-taped.

Please review the detailed pictures carefully and ask questions as needed. Featured with these pictures is a copy of an original two-page Stock-Watch brochure announcing its availability. Don't miss out on the opportunity to own this remarkable piece of Lionel history . . . you may never have the chance to bid on another one of these rare Lionel collectibles again.
