Rare Sun Valley Ski Resort booklet published by Union Pacific Railroad in October 1947, just prior to the 1947-48 winter ski season, just the 2nd season after World War II closure of Sun Valley, other than it serving as a naval hospital. This booklet, "Sun Valley, Idaho, America's Foremost Winter sports Center" has 32 pages with lots of vintage color photos and detail descriptions of Sun Valley Lodge, Chalets, Challenger Inn, Trail Creek Cabin, and includes a fold out detail map of Sun Valley about 7.5 by 10 inches with great retro graphics. The booklet is in very good shape, some slight smudging light dirt on spine area from past handling, otherwise very very nice and bright. Has great photos of Single Chairlifts, information on spring skiing in the Boulder Basin (this was a piece done about the same time Andy Henig published his book on Sun Valley that showed all the ski mountaineering trails in the area). Has some rates in a table in the back - single room with private bath for $12.00 per day. Map of the UPRR system on the back cover. Buyer to pay shipping of $2.00 in U.S. Insurance extra if desried.
