1947 SCOTT INTERNATIONAL I, (hardbound) - 5,267 stamps - 684 19th century

This auction consists of a hardbound 1947 Scott International Part I. There is wear around the edges and the bottom right corners but the overall condition is very good with the pages being in excellent condition with normal toning. There are a few hinge rems, but most pages are as issued. No missing pages were noted.

The US selection could be characterized as advanced intermediate and includes 56 19th century stamps with higher denominations included in the Columbian, Trans Mississippi and Pan Am issues. There are several mint hinged including the 1c and 2c Trans-Mississippi and 1c Pan-American as well as complete MH sets of the Harding Memorial and the Huguenot-Wallon issues. There are also 5 used coil pairs and some MH coils. Also included is a complete used set of the 1940 Famous Americans including the 10c Alexander Graham Bell. The US selection is more advanced than one would expect to see in this type album.

There are stamps for 229 countries with 30 countries having 50 stamps or more. This is a nice collection which includes a generous amount of 19th century stamps.
