This 1948 A. C. Gilbert number 7 1/2 Erector Set is in NEAR MINT condition. It was part of my father’s vast toy collection and he collected Erector sets along with other toys for 60 + years. During that time he was constantly upgrading his collection so that all his pieces are now of the highest quality. Every item from his collection is suitable for the most discerning collector. The set has been inventoried and shown to be 100 % complete using “Greenberg’s Guide to Gilbert Erector Sets Volume Two 1933 – 1962”. The set is similar to the one shown on page 132. (see parts list below). All parts are original. All plated metal parts still shine like new. T is absolutely no rust anyw T are only a few small scratches and loss of paint on the aluminum lid. All paint is original. Both the inside and outside labels are 98% to 99% complete. The manual is 100% complete and is in NEAR MINT condition. The A49 motor runs PERFECTLY and has its original Gilbert power cord with the Gilbert name on the plug. The power cord is LIKE NEW with no cracks or brittle spots. The house box and two cardboard display trays are professional reproductions from originals.
