This is a great 1948 Gorham sterling silver demitasse set with Georg Jensen styled art nouveau flower finials and ebony handles. The craftsmanship is very nice in design and technique. The set is not monogram. Each of the four pieces are clearly marked with the Gorham lion, anchor and "G" mark along with "STERLING" the piece number "791" through "794" and the date mark. The tray measures 11 1/2" handle to handle, demitasse pot 6 1/4"h, covered sugar(1947 date mark) 3 3/4"h and the cream pitcher 2 7/8"h. The set weighs approx. 39.22 troy ozs.. The set in very good overall condition with a dent to the pots body and lid(see photo), a small dent to the body and bottom edge of the sugar, a tiny ding on the body of the creamer and a tiny ding to the edge of the tray, otherwise minimal normal use wear and no other dents, no breaks, no cracks or repairs.
