This lot offers the comic book shown in photos. It is the number 2, and final, issue of Negro Heros Comic. I did a little research and found that the comic was started as an educational tool telling true stories of African Americans as positive role models. The comic was to be published 4 times yearly, but publication stopped in it's first year. Maybe the funds were not t to continue in business, the comic sold for just 10 cents. This issue has a higher book value in the comic than issue #1 because of the Jackie Robinson story. He had just been named Rookie of the Year for 1947 and broke the color barrier in Major League Baseball. The condition is excellent for a 60 year old comic. The colors are bright and t is virtually no wear. The book really looked like I was the first to ever open it. The only problems are on the front. The lower staple is bit rusty and t is a rub-off of color on the lower left hand corner. No reserve. Winning bidder will add $4.00 for US shipping. Thanks for looking. Please see my other auctions.
