I am offering a 1948 original Lionel catalog with it's mailing envelope. This catalog is in above average condition due to it having been stored in it's protective shipping envelope. It has some flaws that would not classify it as being a mint condition collectors item. They would be that the catalog has a small rip on lower left hand bottom of front cover. Their is also a dog ear fold on it's bottom rear cover, and a small stain spot on a page. [See photo ] The mailing envelope has some pencil markings on it, and has some tattered areas on it. The catalog has a musty oder. This can be corrected I have been told, by sealing it in a zip lock bag filled with kitty litter. This is an interesting find due to the added graphics provided by the envelope. It gives you the feeling one might have gotten, upon returning home from school or work and finding this left by the mailman. Please check out the photos to help in making your purchasing decision.
