1948 Lionel Train Set No 2141WS - VG, OBs -- 671 Pennsylvania 6-8-6 die-cast S2 steam turbine locomotive with 2671W tender - VG. Tested. Runs F-N-R. Quiet E-unit. Headlight. Smoke! Tender is VG/EX. Good whistle! -- 2456 hopper - VG. -- 3451 operating lumber car with logs and bin - VG. Tested. Works. Logs are dumped into bin at trackside. Bin is in poor condition with a large break. Original instructions for this car included. -- 3462 operating milk car with cans and platform - G. Tested. Works! Man "throws" milk cans onto platform. May need adjustment. No Box. Original instructions. -- 2357 Illuminated caboose - G/VG. Note: The original boxes for the engine and cars are in P/F condition and mostly missing end flaps (see photo). -- O GaugeTrack: 8 curves, 5 straights, 1 RCS uncouple/unload, 2 CTC lock-ons. -- Jar of SP smoke pellets (5), tube of lubricant (1/2 full). Literature: Original 1948 catalog in poor/fair condition (missing front and back cover pages) with picture of this train set on pp. 14-15 ; 1948 edition of "Instructions for Operating Lionel Trains," 44 pages - VG. THAT'S ALL FOLKS! THIS TRAIN IS OVER 56" LONG WHEN ALL FREIGHT CARS ARE ATTACHED. The 671 S2 steam turbine was distributed by Lionel in 1946-49. Note: There is no original set box and no transformer.
