Offered is an exceptional old Locomotive Operation Manual. This was made by the Electro-Motive Division of the General Motors Company. It is the operating manual for an EMD model F7 1500 HP Diesel-Electric Road Locomotive. This book as shown is a 1st Edition dated February , 1949. It is in very good condition with some slight yellowing due to age, not as bad as the scan shows. As shown, on the page with the engine photo, it has an old mailing label and another on the inside back cover (Lee Lambert was an Engineer on the Rock Island RR). Also note I assume someone cut someones name off the top of the first page, 1/4" is missing. No rips, tears or writing to any of the other pages. This book is for the operation of both "A" and "B" unit diesel passenger locomotives. This book has a b&w diesel photo on the inside front page as shown (note the very top 1/4" of the first page is cut off). It also has both single page and fold out schematic's. The book is a total of 50 pages with 1 fold-out of a Steam Generator Operation Chart and many single page schematic's or photo's. The index contents shows 6 sections including General Data, General Description, Normal Operation, Special Conditions and Problems, Cooling, Lubricating Oil and Fuel Oil Systems, Steam Generator and the last section is an On-the-road-trouble-shooting insert.

If you like this one check out my other books and manuals I will be listing soon.
