VINTAGE MID CENTURY MODERN ITALIAN CASED GLASS COMPOTE HOLLOW STEM GROUND PONTIL 1950s / 1960s I SHIP WORLDWIDE Being offered in this sale is a vintage blown, cased glass compote that I believe was made in Italy in the mid 1900s. I do not know if this is a piece from Carlo Moretti or perhpas Empoli, however, it is vintage. It is one of roughly 40 pieces of cased glass that I will be listing for sale over the next few weeks and is part of a 500+ piece estate collection of Ohio Valley glass, and related European examples, assembled by a midwestern collector/dealer. It measures 7 3/4" tall and is roughly 8 5/8" in diameter. The bowl is sapphire blue cased with opaque white on the inside. It is connected by a wafer of glass to a hollow stem. T is a ground pontil on the underside of the base. The condition is exellent. T are no chips, cracks, flakes, hairlines or repairs. The last image illustrates a couple of other Italian cased glass compotes that I am listing for sale today from the same estate collection. . You are bidding on only the one piece in this sale.
