BEAUTIFUL EXAMPLE OF OLD SPOUTER POTTERY FROM NANTUCKET SPERM WHALE EGG CUPS - RARE PAIR! ca. 1950 -1980 I will be listing a few pieces of art pottery this week that my Aunt collected. This auction is for a hard to find set of egg cups from the old spouter pottery on Nantucket Island, Massachusetts. These were made in the 50's prior to the pottery going out of business in the 80's. Gladys loved the old spouter pottery, and collected many pieces which we will continue to sell over the coming months. The egg cups are about 4 inches in height and in excellent condition with the exception of a tiny teenie flea bite on the edge of one of them. The other is perfect. What a fun set and we hope it goes to someone that likes Nantucket things. My Aunt was a nurse in WW1 stationed in France and then spent years as an artist and antiquinarian traveling the world. She loved antiques and taking care of them. Please view my other items as we are selling her home belongings over the coming year and she has some exquisit pieces.
