For your consideration today is this duo of very fine, vintage 1950's Caterpillar dealers advertising material, that includes a neat D2 Diesel tractor foldout brochure, plus a Farming The Three Dimensions booklet with Caterpillar's, both issued from the Ziegler company out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. This is a great looking set of items that have been kept in very fine shape, they are both from around the early to mid 1950's we believe, they are both from the William H. Ziegler Company out of Minneapolis, Minnesota, the Diesel advertising piece is one that shows the Caterpillar Diesel D2 Tractor on one side when folded down, that measures 8.5" wide by 5.5" tall, then opens to be 11" tall and shows a bigger picture of the D2, then folds out more to 17" wide that shows the D2 tractor engine in a very large picture that is 8" wide along with a few other smaller photo's, then opens upwards to reveal a grand display of the D2 Caterpillar along with all the specifications, more pictures and info, now measuring almost 22" tall by 17" wide! The D2 shows so nice, and is actually almost 11" wide in the picture!! Really a dandy show piece when opened like a poster, t is just a bit of handling wear that is very minimal and basically like new overall, and has just one spot on the very first picture that shows a little bit of ink print from another item that probably laid on it for many years. But really is such a minor thing as the rest is one neat show item!! Quite a very clean, glossy advertising piece!! The second item is titled Farming in Three Dimensions with the Caterpillar, the booklet is 8.25" tall by 10.75" wide, it has 12 pages in all including the front and back covers, it has info on taking care of the fields and the soil, has a number of pictures, further back it advertises the Cat tool bars with some pieces of equipment that was available, it has some light handling wear and a bit of wrinkle like spots, t are a few light stain spots on the back, but overall another very clean, intact booklet that is in very fine shape!! This is another great set of Caterpillar items we are selling, the D2 piece would be a great display item when opened like a poster, and can be yours if you are the lucky winning bidder!
