1950's DAWSON Gold Crown BEER Diamond ALE Lighted Sign You are viewing a Striking and Tough to Find DAWSON Gold Crown BEER/Diamond ALE Lighted Sign in Top-Notch shape . I believe it dates to the mid to late 1950's . It's amazing that this sign has survived 50+ years in such nice working condition. It features a highly detailed molded plastic wrap-around Lithographed front & sides with an embossed Mallard Duck/Woodland Duck and New England wildlife scene. The oval shaped Dawson logo is also embossed. Printed along the bottom of one side is LITHO. IN U.S.A. Printed along the bottom of the opposite side is DAWSON'S BREWERY, INC. NEW BEDFORD, MASS. This sign measures approx. 12" wide x 11.25" high x 4" deep. The back is white painted metal with two stylish brass plated metal attachments that are rivited to both the top and bottom of the metal backing (please see photos). The 4th photo shows the sign while illuminated . All the components appear to be original to the sign and are in Excellent condition. The Lithographed front and sides are attached to the metal backing by two small metal turn keys/screws. This Lithographed portion is a bit loose and could easily be secured by using 2 rubber or metal washers to add stability.
