ITEM: is a great vintage 1950's Duro Mold SATELLITE Advertising ROCKET Bank that measures 10 1/2" tall and is mechanical. Mechanism to shoot your coin into the top of the rocket STILL WORKS GREAT! The Rocket sets atop the World and surrounding the base are the words: COMMEMORATING OUR SPACEMEN SHEPARD, GRISSOM, GLENN, CARPENTER, SCHIRRA, COOPER. On the front of the base is a decal that reads: "DOORWAY TO SAVINGS" ZANESVILLE FEDERAL SAVINGS & LOAN ASS'N. 33 SOUTH FIFTH STREET, "SAVINGS INSURED UP TO $10,000. The bottom is marked: DURO MOLD AND MFG. INC. DETROIT 34 MICH. PAT. PENDING USA AND CANADA / THE SATELLITE BANK MODEL OF THE ROCKET FOR FUTURE SPACE TRAVEL CONDITION: T is some surface wear, such as scratching and some missing gold paint. Decal is great. As mentioned above the mechanism still works that shoots your coin into the top of the bank. The key to open the bottom is missing. Hole in bottom is for bills. T is a penny inside the bank.
