is a late 1950's General Electric GE Model T-1000D Walnut AM/FM table radio in excellent condition. Serial number 481583. This radio sounds GREAT. I turned it on, and was really impressed by how good it sounds. The tubes must be in great condition, because the sound is quite excellent. It has two 6x9 speakers that fold and lock into the cabinet. This radio measures 9" x 13" x 19" when closed up. It has a built-in rod antenna that is in perfect condition. This item is heavy - around 31 pounds. It has an external input for a phono (turntable). It also has a built-in antenna. The speakers fold out of the case with snaps - the wire is included that plugs the speakers into the back of the radio unit. The radio itself has a tone control, On/Off/AFT/PHONO switch, balance control, FM Stereo/FM,AM control, Loudness control, and tuning control. No broken belts on the tuning mechanism. This is a "Stereophonic High Fidelity" model. Speaker fabric has no tears or holes. The speakers can be removed from the case to be separated for better sound.
