1950's Gilbert American Flyer Cast AT&SF Engine Tender Patent 246 Description This is a 1950's era Gilbert American Flyer locomotive and tender that have had original marks replaced with fantasy marks for Santa Fe Railway. I looked up the patent number under the tender and it is from a 1949 Gilbert patent. There is also a patent number under the loco which seems to correspond to a worm drive toy train engine designed by Frisbie. Please look at all pictures as this is the train you will be receiving. This is being sold as stated with no gurantees. Unique piece regardless. This came from a large collection I have acquired and will be selling over the coming weeks. Standard Train Disclaimer : I have several transformers from the 50's but after one of them sparked out on me when plugging in I decided to sell the train collection as is. It is untested and the operability is unknown so be advised it is being sold as is, I have not taken it apart not hooked it to current. I did sell another older piece from this collection and was told it just needed some cleaning and oil to have it running fine so take that for what it is worth. I am not a train enthusiast but will do my best to answer any questions you may have as long as you phrase them the way you would to a small child.
