1950's plastic GLOLITE Santa Claus plastic light, 19" high, 10 & 1/2" wide, 2 & 1/2" front to back. Never been used. Original box. For those of you with a problem converting measurements and photos into a clear picture of an item, I occassionally include a photo that has a size reference point--a bottle of Perrier(7&1/2 "), a soda or beer can (5"), a coin, whatever makes sense to me at the time. The following terms are equally binding on the winner of an auction or on a buyer who negotiates a sale outside the auction process. Buyers are responsible for making sure that the item purchased is safe for its intended use. In particular, the buyer should always have wiring checked by a qualified electrician before putting the item into use. Actual packing, handling, shipping and insurance(mandatory) costs are paid by the buyer. Particularly large, valuable and/or fragile items have to be professionally packed or picked up by the buyer. Since t is no place to indicate packing costs on the invoice, the cost of materials is buried in the shipping cost. For those of you with an eagle eye, the shipping cost typically will not agree with the actual postage reflected on the package. This is due to the incorporation of the costs of materials and, in some instances, labor. I have no intention of padding the bill, just recovering cost. Hope you understand. An Illinois resident buyer must pay sales tax (7.75%) on the sale price of the item unless he/she provides a copy of his/her Illinois Department of Revenue Form REG-2-A (Certificate of Registration) and provides a simple statement that the item is being purchased for resale. /S930452 Insurance is mandatory and is calculated on the sale price of the item to the buyer (packing, handling, shipping, & insurance cost are unfortuantely not recoverable costs through insurance). If an item is delivered with obvious damage to the shipping container, it is the responsibility of the buyer to take pictures of the damage before opening the container. If the item itself is damaged, the buyer must keep the item, container and packaging for inspection. It is the responsibility of the buyer, not the seller, to pursue any claims that may arise from items being damaged in shipping. The seller will provide the buyer with the insurance claim number and the original insurance receipt upon request. At the option of the buyer, no insurance will be provided with the understanding that any losses suffered, including nondelivery are borne by the buyer and the buyer is not entitled to any refund whatsoever from the seller for the sale price, shipping, sales tax or any part tof. Absent a written request that no insurance coverage be provided, insurance is considered mandatory and automatic. If the buyer and seller agree that an item is returnable (for A REASON VALID IN THE EYES OF THE SELLER), the buyer is normally entitled to a full refund of his/her purchase price plus shipping and insurance cost. The "BUYER" is ALWAYS responsible for the costs of returning the item to the seller, including insurance. If the buyer does not accept the "buyer's" basis for returning the item but nevertheless agrees to accept the return, the "buyer" is responsible for the shipping/insurance costs to the buyer and back to the selller. (actual case---the "buyer" wanted to return a rug because it was darker and in better condition than he thought it showed in the photographs---it didn't fit with his decor). IN THE EVENT THE ITEM IS RETURNED TO THE SELLER IN OTHER THAN THE CONDITION IT WAS SENT TO BUYER, THE BUYER FORFEITS ANY CLAIM TO A REFUND. For purposes of determining whether the condition is different, reference will be made to the photographs provided in the original auction of the item. If it cannot be determined from the photographs, it is up to the buyer and seller to work out a settlement agreeable to both.
