1950s Horsman Betty Ruthie Vinyl Doll

This is a wonderful vintage Horsman Doll that is a Ruthie, Betty or Peggy. Horsman named most of their dolls girls names at that time. Betty is listed as 14 inches tall, but this one is just over 13 inches. Her face is like Cindy. Her body is a one piece vinyl body. Most Ruthie dolls are marked with the 21. Cindy is marked Horsman 82, but her face is just like our Ruthie. She is unique as she is made of a soft skin, like rubber, but not rubber, it is vinyl. She is from the 1950's and is marked HORSMAN and 21 above it on the back of her head. he has sandy blonde colored hair and it has some thinner plugs, mostly around the hair line. She has beautiful blue sleep eyes. She is very clean and has none of the green marks. Her face is soft too, but not as baby soft as the body, different type composition. She stands approx. 13 inches tall. She has underwear and a two piece red outfit that is not tagged, but does not look handmade. Excellent addition to your doll collection.
