Here is a great piece of California Wine History! Italian Swiss Colony Chalk or Plaster Wine list Holder Made by Plasto MFG. Co. Chicago ILL. This piece almost weighs 4 Pounds. this piece has amazing color for such an old piece, has a few small chips, it has the cute couple from the companies commercials( see one below) as marionetts the man is holding a bottle of Tipo wine. Italian Swiss Colony in 1881 Italian Swiss immigrants established an agricultural colony. Choice wines, produced from grape plantings from the Old World, soon brought wide acclaim. By 1905, ten gold medals were awarded these wines at international competitions.
