Vintage 1950's Linemar American Airlines N 305AA, tin litho, battery operated, DC7 airplane. The plane was made in Japan and has over a 19"' wingspan and is 18" L. It is marked "Flagship Carolyn" and "Linemar Co Inc" & "Japan". Overall both the body and wing sections are in very good to excellent condition with minimal paint loss or denting. It does have some marks on its surface area from age & use.. (see photos). It has all the original propellers, tires, and wing lights (green & red). The tab that holds the wing & body together is not original to this piece. The wires are disconnected (broken ) from the battery terminal connector which fits onto the motor housing (see photo) making the unit inoperable. Many years ago when I first purchased this plane it worked and had a sequenced start and stop operation. Each engine would start in sequence, and then would travel along the floor for awhile, then stop, and finally each engine would then shut off in sequence. The red & green wing lights would light up but I can't remember if the lights were flashing or not. The plane is perfectly suitable for display but needs some work to become operational again. If you have any questions, please email me. I am offering a second AA Line mar plane and would gladly combine packaging to reduce shipping costs.
