This week I will be listing selections from an incredible estate collection of antique Glass Shoes. The owner was a serious collector with over 3000 examples displayed in her home! I am not an expert but will describe these shoes as they appear and with additional information the owner cataloged. Any help appreciated! This auction offers a really nice Venetian "glass slipper" made in Murano, Italy probably around 1950. It has red and yellow latticino canes accented with bright red. The applied ruffle and the high heel are gold aventurine. The shoe measures 6 1/4" long, 2" across and 2" high. This piece is in excellent estate condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. T is a little factory roughness on the bottom of the heel--not a problem but mentioned for accuracy. This Venetian glass slipper will be a delightful addition to a collection!
