GEORGE NELSON DESIGN HOWARD MILLER KITE CLOCK MODEL #2201 FREE SHIPPING IF RESERVE IS MET (within the U.S) we have a very special, very rare Howard Miller clock, designed by George Nelson. It was designed in 1953, and this is an original. I can't tell for sure if this very clock is from 1953, but it is certainly from the 50's. It is run by electricity, by a cord that was never unwound fully. This clock works great and keeps great time. The measurements are 21.5 x 16.5, and approx. 4 inches deep. It has a label on the back as you can see in the picture. The numbers seem to be a wooden peg that is painted black, screwed on from the back. The hands are black and does not have a second hand, and we have no memory of t ever being one. If this clock were to be restored, it would only need a careful cleaning and polishing. Along the side edges t is a little wear, but I will not do anything to this clock to change the way it looks. I will leave that up to the lucky winner.Upon researching the history of this Kite Clock, it seems it could be valued around $2600-$10,000. This shocks me, because to verify this is very difficult.
