Comments: An energetic work featuring a mottled ground in tones of yellow, green, violet, and orange/red, with a Jackson Pollock - influenced overlay of elongated drip gestures in opaque white. Kedzie was active in the Milwaukee area in the 1950s - 1960s. His participation in a Wisconsin exhibitions is documented in the Milwaukee Sentinel for August 11, 1961, and in the Milwaukee Journal for September 15, 1963. The Journal for June 25, 1961 includes an annoucement for a one-man show of his drawings and ink washes at Mount Mary College.
