This auction is for a rare 1950's Fire Engine Ladder Truck, marked on the original decals on each side: ROSSMOYNE - 9 - AUTHORIZED BY AMERICAN-LA FRANCE ALFCO - THE CHARLES WM. DOEPKE MFG. CO. INC. - ROSSMOYNE, O. - MODEL TOYS - It also has the original inspection sticker on the bottom (see pics). This classic pressed steel fire truck with firefighting and rescue ladders features extendable ladder with raising and lowering and 360 degree capability operations, stabilizing arms that extend from below the rotating platform, a ringing chrome bell, steerable rubber wheels, 2 extra ladders and rear storage areas. Overall in excellent condition with no dents or rust and appearing barely used with just a few tiny specks of missing paint. It does have a few minor issues of one of the faux hydraulic tubes is missing a tiny piece of the top. The hand crank mechanism that raises the ladder needs some manual assistance only because the original string cable is just unhooked from the notch on the reel and should be an easy fix and the spotlight behind the cab area does not have a lens on it. The basic vehicle measures 28" long, 6 1/2" wide, and 6 1/2" tall and weighs 9 1/4 lbs. The two extra ladders are 18" long and the two extendable ones are 23" long and will crank out to a distance of 41". No rules, simply pay and i mail promptly. Satisfaction read more
