I am offering for sale a 1950s heavy crystal and silver wine carafe. It is equipped with a glass insert which can be filled with ice cubes and attached to the inside of the carafe to cool your wine while not watering it down. This old beauty would look good sitting on your bar, the dining room table, a picnic table or a blanket at the beach! This unmarked carafe weighs 6.5 pounds empty. It is 11" high to top of spout. The bottom is 6.5" in diameter and the carafe is 8.5" at the widest point of the handle. Other than putting some polish on he silver top, there is only one condition issue I could find. The inset is threaded at the top to connect to the brass lid. A v-shaped wedge of glass has been broken from the threads. However, the cap still screws on smoothly and tightens down firmly. When the cap is in place, the glass threads are not visible. The pictures accompanying this listing are photographs of the carafe you will receive. Please check my feedback because I pride myself on accurate descriptions and fast shipping. Questions? Please contact me. I prefer to ship via USPS Priority Mail, but this piece is so heavy I intend to ship at the lower parcel post rate, unless you advise me otherwise. In either case, I charge only the actual postage; no hidden fee here! INTERNATIONAL BUYERS NOTE; I have included a $2 handling fee in the
