SHK-13. This is one of the most unique and uncommon Silver Springs, Florida collectibles I have ever offered for auction. It is an unused full color stiff paper Diorama of 4 sights and scenes at Silver Springs, circa early 1950s. Some of the stiff paper pieces have separated, but all are unused and all pieces are present. The diorama was originally a four-panel folded insert contained within a large manilla mailing envelope titled: "A Gift From Silver Springs." Printed on the front of the envelope are pictures of complelely assembled diorama and all 4 sights. These are: 1. Glass Bottom observation boat with tourists leaning out the side windows to feed the fish. 2. Ross Allen standing inside his glass sided snake cage and holding onto a snake while his giving a lecture. Numerous snakes are crawling around him on the floor. Ugh!! Ross is handling one snake and displaying another snake on a board in front of the cage. T are several punch-out snakes to be placed around the cage. 3. Open top wooden launch Jungle Cruise boat with passengers and including an extra 4 punch-out passengers to be placed in their seats. Another piece shows an alligator on the bank of the Silver River. 4. Seminole Indian Village showing a chickdee; a Seminole read more
