1950s Slingerland 12"x16" WMP Snare Drum Shell w/ Badge Includes the rare 'Small Oval' brass badge from 1955-59 Colossal Percussion carries the best in new, used, and vintage gear. See our other auctions for all kinds of great percussion-related items! Nice Slingerland 12" x 16" snare drum shell from the mid to late 50s, covered in White Marine Pearl. Included is the rare "Small Oval" clear-lacquered brass badge that was only in production from 1955-59!Shell is three ply (I believe it's Mahogany/Poplar/Mahogany) with reinforcing hoops. Factory-drilled for sixteen small Beavertail tension casings (the Radio King style, hole spacing measure 1 1/2" center to center), strainer, butt, internal muffler, snap-in drum key holder, and badge. No hardware is included with the shell aside from the badge. There are a total of three extra holes on this shell, all drilled under a tension casing. One such hole is visible on the main photo on the bottom right - the other two have the same configuration. These will be invisible on the exterior of the drum when hardware is added back on.Shell is in round, bearing edges are in nice shape. Badge has a little bit of tarnish but will polish up nicely.
