SMOKEY THE BEAR CIGARETTE "SNUFFIT" UNIT - MAGNETIC
1950's memorabilia item, used by my grandfather, who was a Michigan State Forest Ranger. I loved my Grandpa Bob, but not the fact that he smoked, which eventually took his life. This item was amongst his belongings when they came to me years ago. I have items that bring fonder memories of him, like his ranger patches and log books - so this item is being sold.
Approximately 1.5" high, lettering on brim of hat is still legible, as is the name "Smokey" on the hat itself. The bottom of the unit is magnetized (for attaching to the METAL dash of an old, old vehicle, or the metal ashtray!), and still has most of the label that was attached to the bottom. Some of the label has come off, but a good portion of it is still t T is some very minor paint wear, as is expected of an item this old, that has been used.
Some of these items had a base on them when sold, with the name of a national park - this one did not. It was sold without it, as is evidenced by the label on the bottom.
