Up for bid is a pair of absolutely exquesite, unbelieveable, beautiful, spurs, you can tell I really like these spurs. Each spurs has 169 seperate inlays, not overlays, but inlaid pieces of sterling silver. Try that sometime & see what you would value them. Each spur has 2 inlaid spur strap buttons & 2 overlaid buttons. Each spur also has 12 sterling silver buttons, not including the chap guard or rowel pin buttons & the larger ones on the 1" heel bands, measure a whopping 3/4" each. The spurs measure, front to back 8 1/2" with a 3" opening. The 14 point rowels measure 3" overall & have a feather like design. They also have the initials "J.F." stamped into the heel band. These were NOT made by Jack Ferguson, they are more in the Schnitger style of spur. One spur is missing one heel band inlay, approx. 1/8" long x 1/16" wide. These are absolutely incredible spurs. They are in excellent condition, the straps are junk, but came with the spurs. These spurs have little wear & have been hanging in my collection for many years. My guess they are from the 1950's. Check out the rest of my cowboy auction s for Canon City prison made spurs, Visalia & Hamley leather. If you want more pictures, just ask.
