Up for auction is an original 1952 Nash kneeling lady hood ornament. On the underside of the base are the numbers 3114126 and 25407. On the underside of the wings are 3114126 and 25407-1. This is a truly beautiful design that deserves equal billing with the more popular 1953-1955 Petty designed Nash flying ladies. Alas, although still beautiful, this particular hood ornament has some significant pitting to the tops and bottoms of her wings as well as to one side of the head. It should be noted that these pits are extend approx 1/16" to 1/8" deep into the pot metal and are not just missing chrome areas(see pictures). I imagine, as with anything, this ornament can be repaired and rechromed or it could be displayed by the creative collector to minimize the attention to the poor areas.

Good luck and don't hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.
