A Vintage 1952 ORIGINAL News Service Photo issued by United Press Association featuring a youthful image of New York Yankees star Mickey Mantle. Fantastic candid close-up of Mickey looking straight into the cameras in this 7” x 9” photograph with the original press stamp on the verso. The white pinstripe star of the World Champion, Bronx Bombers was a blue collar guy. Caption on the reverse tells the fascinating story of those times, back in the days, mentioning how the Mick who was rejected for the Army is shown working in his off-season job in a construction company !
