Up for auction are eight (8) 1952 topps cards each graded by SGC. The first card is the #88 card of Bob Feller graded SGC 10/1. It has some left border dings as well as some paper wrinkles working across the middle of the card. T is also some mild scuffing but none of these flaws are in evidence on the back. The corners show some rounding. In spite of the grade, this card is still quite collectible and still displays well in its SGC case. #265 is the card of Chuck Diering graded an SGC 30/2. The top corners are nice but t is some layering on the bottom corners. T is a small paper wrinkle working down from the top and a small surface scratch on the right side of Chuck's head. The centering is decent and the color and gloss are still nice. The back is sharp. #287 is the Steve Bilko card and it's an SGC 30/2. It has decent centering but t is a bulge along the top resulting from a back crease. It hasn't broken the paper on the surface yet...but it's close. The card has nice corners and the coloring and gloss is still sharp yet. #228 is the card of Al Brazle and it's been graded an SGC 20/1.5. This card has great centering and corners with nice coloring and t are no creases. The back is clean, but t is a scuff on Al's nose that earns the poor mark.... #63 is the card of Howie Pollet and it too earned the SGC 20/1.5 grade. This card has nice centering with soft but not rounded corners. T is a couple of paper wrinkles that spoil an otherwise great card. One runs across the middle of the card and the other is down by the left bottom corner. The card has to be held in the light to see them. The back is clean with the wrinkles not in evidence. It is the only black back of the lot. #152 is the card of Al Evens and it has been graded out as an SGC 30/2 - good. This card has a severe centering flaw going from right to left. The corners have some rounding to them but t are no creases. The back is clean but reflects the centering issue of the front. #61 card is that of "Tookie" Gilbert and is an SGC 20/1.5. It's a little off center right to left as well as top to bottom, but it's not severe. T is a couple of paper wrinkles working their way up from the bottom into the name box. T is some mild scuffing as well. The back is free from the flaws mentioned on the front. #34 is the card of Elmer Valo graded an SGC 10/1. The centering on this card is good and the corners show wear but are not rounded. It does have some scuffing and some small dents that do not break the paper. It has a diagonal paper wrinkle to the left of Elmer's face and a some bottom left corner wrinkles as well. None of these are seen on the back which is clean. The cards in this lot are far from "beaters" and still hold collectible qualities. These would be the type of cards a non-professional grader would put up for auction ungraded describing them as VG to VG/EX. These cards display quite well and I feel SGC cases certainly clean-up the cards as well by providing a quality appeal with their case. These cards would make a nice addition to anyone's 50's collection of graded cards. I accept most forms of payment including paypal, money orders, and personal checks which are held the usual 7-10 days until cleared. T is a flat $5.00 shipping fee which includes a delivery confirmation tag. Winning another auction allows for combined shipping under one fee. The cards in the scan are for sure the ones the winning bidder will receive. However, t are no refunds on graded cards...Thanks for looking.
